Grounded in Culture, Guided by Generations

Story. Land. Tradition.

We offer workshops, presentations, and land-based experiences rooted in Cree knowledge and lived experience.

Led by three generations, our sessions are designed to build authentic understanding, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful connections between people, culture, and the land.

Philip Nanimahoo –
Elder, Knowledge Keeper

Philip Nanimahoo is a respected Elder from the Bigstone Cree Nation, bringing decades of lived experience and deep cultural knowledge to every session. Passionate about kinship, protocol, and Cree teachings, he shares stories, traditions, and perspectives that highlight the importance of Miyo-wîcêhtowin — living in good relation.

Philip’s work with schools, community organizations, and health programs emphasizes cultural revitalization, intergenerational learning, and the voices of Indigenous youth, creating meaningful experiences grounded in authenticity, respect, and connection.

Janine Nanimahoo – Educator, PhD Student

Janine Nanimahoo is a Cree educator and researcher from Treaty 8 territory, dedicated to sharing teachings rooted in Cree worldview, governance, and family law. Working alongside her father, she bridges professional practice with Indigenous ways of being, creating sessions that invite conversation, reflection, and meaningful engagement.

Janine’s work emphasizes land-based learning, intergenerational knowledge, and the lived experiences of her community, offering education that is grounded in story, culture, and authentic connection.
